Dave and I contend that we likely know everyone here between the two of us. Excellent. I think coming back to campus whith all of these people should be fun...plus my apartment is entirely likely to be a really tight nerd-den. Awesome.

Bleh. International business class should not begin at 8:15. This then means that I have to be ready to leave by 7:00 am. Thanks 1:15 commute, you never get old.
spent the weekend in amsterdam. What a wonderful place. Never found the Red Light District. Oh well. I have no idea what went down on friday other than Mary thinking we had never left our hostel. She sat in the coffeeshop we were in and paused. "I get it," she submitted, "we're not leaving the hostel tonight." Yeah, so everyone was pretty high.

Spent saturday in a haze...and saturday night in a cocktail of chemicals i didn't plan on ingesting, but did anyway. I remember being in front of a haunted house somewhere in the city and smoking, and then I was eating chinese somewhere else, wired the whole time. Between the "herbal speed", the pot, the 13 or so beers and the addy, i was in a strange place.

The next morning i woke up with a bit of a hangover and sat outside for a few hours before everyone woke up. It was perfectly frigid in the morning. Just what i needed.

Midterms here are a silly thing. You KNOW they're not going to be that difficult, but Miami being as Miami is, everyone is freaking out and studying a shitton. Oh well.

I have resolved myself to not studying for German, studying for Music, studying for Marketing and studying for Accounting (hard).

Meh. Dr. Smith is not staying in room 261 of the swankiest hotel in Paris which has hosting an industry-only party (open bar).

shit man, this whole europe thing is nuts.
Well, it looks like I am headed to paris this weekend.

it also looks like i don't have housing for next year.

it also looks like it's raining outside.

The Killers' new album is pretty king, enjoying it.

Paris? I don't think you're ready for this jelly. DragonForce should be the national anthem of the Nation of Living Peoples. Just fyi. man oh man, amsterdam is coming up too. Getting high legally? redic. I told everyone to brace themselves for my rediculousness.

Last night was jazz night at this place called Liquid. Smoked some Reds, got pumped about acid jazz all over again and started listening to indian music and masses from the middle ages. Thanks music appreciation class. I need to go blow off some steam, .

bye kids.

    <lj:music>hot chip - keep falling</lj:music>

Back from Interlaken and the rest of my week in Switzerland. I am discovering the wonder that is Hot Chip right now.

I went canyoning, which is a lot like rafting...without a raft...in a narrow canyon full of 30 foot drops and jagged rocks. Our guide hurt himself. It was badass.

The time spent in the switzerland was a show. Party-time too often for anyone's good. Underground clubs and empty bars. Lots of hookah-smoking beer-slamming good times.

Things to remember:

move to interlaken with alec and cdub to become a guide

continue partying as if my body is a useless sack of rice or beans

fight more often

accept $500 worth of drinks for businessmen who keep your champaigne glass full at bars for the famous

make less lists

make more lists

fuckers. still partying, new peoples new parties, you know the deal.

smashed and smashing in europe.

bye kids.

So in the last few days, I've discovered the wonder that is Girl Talk a new Illegal Art release. I attempted to track it down at Rock Records in the loop, but no dice.

I settled on buying a ticket for saturday's lolla. The lineup for sat put everything else to shame.

I'm sportin' contacts now. Badass on my part.

I just at some frozen pre-made food. Shitty on my part.

Last weekend was nuts because of Pitchfork, which totally rocked socks. Saturday involved seeing Ted Leo, The Mountain Goats, Art Brut (awesome) and the Futureheads--also smoking more cigs than i care to count. Whoops. I think 12 if i were to try to count. It's up there.

Sunday was Liars, Yo La Tango and Aesop Rock (holyfuckingshit 'twas awesome).

Ummmm so this week is lookin' busy.
duders.
It's been soo long. But i am not going to catch you jagoffs up.

Basically, I am working on this gigantic project at work that may net the firm a nice 200 Million dollars. Tight shit because that's like a shit-ton of money. Other than that, I've picked up, quit, and re-pciked up smoking so far in the last month or two. THat's pretty neat. I also inadvertantly coined the word "king" to mean something sweet or perhaps righteous. That's pretty bro'ed out if you ask me. I am attempting to get my golf game in line a bit. We'll see how that works out (probably terribly).

I hang with Sarah a lot, which is fun, duh--we're strikingly similar; she's attempting to convince me that it has something to do with astrological signs. This coming weekend there are rumblings of making the trek to Southern. We'll see if that plays out or not.

Getting ready for Lux is being a bit stressful right now. I have a crap-load of crap that needs to be crapped. Etc.

Now to research some wakeboards, mhmm.

byekids.
Liana - when are we tieing the knot?

Went out to happy hour with my coworkers today. It was fun to hear some of them let their hair down. Gianna is more of a card than I expected. She's even someone i might find in my group of friends...i mean, like as an equivalent or something.

Aside from that, I just went to Trang's to eat her family's delicious vietnamese food. I then watched about 20seconds of some asian movie and fell asleep. Sweet rockets.

Now that i've returned home from that disasterous attempt at watching independent asian cinema (and completed a trip to Pride of Lake County--the greatest gas station that ever stationed), I can only hope i can stave off sleep for a few more hours so as to....well, I really don't have a reason, do i?

In light of that, I'll likely spend the next few minutes/hours seeing what's new on the internet. I mean, there's always something new...right? Hopefully saturday's physical exertion will allow me to take more pleasure in tomorrow evening/afternoon.

rock on, kids.
